Britain worried at Ireland’s scrappage of buy to let Property tax

The 2009 policy that prevented Irish landlords from claiming full mortgage interest tax relief on their rental property income is being reversed and  Britain is planning to do likewise early next year.

Irelands finance minister Michael Noonan announced last week in his budget statement that landlords could claim 80% tax relief from next year which is a 5% increase from the current level.
