Sharon Donnery indicated it was too early and unwise to alter the rules at this stage.

She said the loan to income and loan to value rules put in place nearly 12 months ago were brought in to make the property industry safer and stop property buyers from bring too much debt on themselves.

Public not happy as Limerick property tax increases.



The council have taken the decision to increase Limerick property tax by 10% which has enraged the county.

The decision was taken last Monday, a majority of voters gave the green light for the Local property tax increase for properties in Limerick.

These figures include all transaction, properties bought with cash are also taken into account.
